So, lately I’ve just been so exhausted. I don’t know what’s going on! Feeling a bit down in the dumps. I can usually kick out 4 miles of some type of morning cardio, but its been such a struggle. And yesterday I almost dropped 95 pound on myself! I was doing bench press at a fairly non-crowded hour in the gym. I had 25’s on the bar, and I usually only do 20’s for five reps. I was feelin’ good, but on the fifth rep my left arm was able to get that side of the bar back up but not my right arm! I was calling out for help to people in my near vicinity, but of course no one heard me because everyone is plugged into their iPods. So, I’m thinking, “Crap, I’m going to have to drop this onto my chest!” “How long can I stay like this for?” “What’s wrong with these people! Someone has got to see me!” Finally, my night in shining armor, this awesome guy, ran up and saved me! Phew! was that a close one though. I really need to invest in a gym buddy for a spotter! A trainer at the gym later told me that I could have rolled the weight onto my chest and down to my hips to sit up. He said it would hurt, but with no other options it would have to do. I do not know what is going on with my right arm though! It gave out all day yesterday! … muscle atrophy?!?! ahh! I need to start consuming more calories most likely.

Have any of you ever dropped weight on yourself? Any tips or techniques when you’re stuck in that situation?
