Sorry for being MIA ..again.

Hey guys! It’s been way too long. I’ve been so busy with school and squeezing the gym in early in the mornings. Actually, right after I write this post, I am off to the gym.

I’ve been hitting the gym really hard because I have to be in and out in an hour ! ! That is crazy talk there! I am usually in the gym for at least, AT LEAST,  an hour and a half.

So, I’ve been rushing through all my workouts, but it is really making a positive difference. Why? Because my resting periods between sets have shortened, my heart rates staying higher, and I am incorporating lots of drop sets and super sets!

I am focusing on gaining muscle! … It’s no easy feat. To go from a contest prep diet, to a gaining diet kind of sounds like fun right? More food! Who wouldn’t love that right? .. WRONG. It’s difficult. I feel stuffed most of the time. I still eat clean, but I eat double. I’ve been doing this for like 3 weeks, and I have only gained about 1 pound. Our bodies really do fight change!

I’ve been lifting really heavy too to gain muscle. I now do legs twice a week. Tryna build that bootyyyyy 😉 hahah

How have you all been?! Anyone else trying to gain muscle mass right now? Thoughts on “bulking’?

    1. Because for the competition I was down to about 6% body fat! And that’s not healthy, at all. So, I’m trying to gain a little bit of body fat and add some size to my quads, hams, and glutes! 🙂


      1. Gotcha! I guess I’ve been out of the loop and didn’t know you were competing until I looked back at your previous posts. Yes, 6% is not healthy at all. How did you do? And eat, eat, eat, but you already know that!!


      2. Hhah its all good! I’ve been out of the loop too–not posting as much. Well, I had a good time. It was definitely a good experience. But unfortunately, all the rules were different than I had expected. I had practiced a certain routine, but I was not able to do it because I had practiced it for a different organization. For example, one of my poses was to turn and look back at the judges, and I was not allowed to do that at this competition. They had very strict rules, and I think it made me come off as stiff. It was just the stupid posing that tripped me up! haha oh well! I’ll get them next time 🙂
